My name is Bentley. I
was rescued from the Terre Haute Humane Society by a lady who was rescuing
Goldens on her own. She had an
older male Maltese who didn’t like me, so she contacted GRRACE to find me a
new home. Before I went to my
foster home, I went through a battle with kennel cough, and that was no fun. I
am so lovable that I was only at my foster home a few days before a really great
couple came to see me and fell in love with me.
I now live on a farm with lots of room to run .
I also have a seven year old Golden sister at home who loves to play with
me .
Like many rescue dogs, I have had to overcome some fears. I used to cower when anyone would try to pet me. I didn’t know how nice some people could be. I also would gobble my food down, because I thought someone would take it away from me if I didn’t get to it fast. Now I chew every bite because I know there is plenty. When I was at my foster home, I couldn’t even go up and down the stairs, and now I can take them two at a time. With love and patience from my new mom and dad and sister, I have learned to conquer my fears.
I love attention and can never seem to get enough loving.
Early on, my mom and dad discovered that I am a lap dog.
I love to sit in their laps in the evenings while we watch TV.
I also love to play with all of my new toys and chase tennis balls in the
yard.
Many people tell me that I am a lucky dog for finding such a good home, but my mom and dad say that they are the lucky ones for finding me. I hear them say that I have brought them so much joy and laughter with my wonderful, loving personality.
