Champ

Hi, my name is Champ, and I was saved just in the "knick of time" from the Marion County Animal control. They said I had been found running around with a pack of dogs in a not -so- nice area of downtown Indy. I was a mess and didn't feel very well. I had heartworms, whipworms, tapeworms, kennel cough and ear and eye infections.

When Mom first brought me home, I was met at the door by my 2 new 4-legged sisters. I decided I was going to show them how "bad" I was, but they wouldn't have any of it. The Golden nipped my ear, and that little ornery Pug jumped up and bit my nose. I ran for cover under the kitchen table and stayed there quite awhile until things settled down.

I had weeks of medical stuff to get through, and Mom kept making excuses so I wouldn't get put on the GRRACE website. Then I heard her tell everyone: "Well I had him micro-chipped when he was neutered so I guess he is officially mine now". She SWORE she would never keep a foster dog, so that made me feel really special.

Things are going really great now. I feel like a million bucks and I get to show the "ropes" to all the new foster dogs that come through. Being a GRRACE representative at PetsMart every month is a blast too, I get petted for 4 hours straight. I love to sunbathe and the Easter Bunny brought me my own personal lounge chair this year. I have already been testing it out and give it a 5 star approval.

Mom says that I am the "Man of the house" now, and that suits me just fine!
