Hi! I'm Grace. Also known previously as Chrissie. My Mom Ane got me in February of this year, and she just loves me! I was left outside without much food or water over this very tough winter with my boy friend & my daughter. My first owner became ill, and no one could take care of us or take us in. By the time someone came to rescue us, it was too late for the other two.
I had lost a lot of weight, but I survived; skinny and heartworm positive. GRRACE placed me in a foster home with Linda Hays, who fattened me right up and started my heartworm treatments. I had almost completed my treatments, and I was looking beautiful by the time Mom met me. She thought I was a beautiful sweetie!
In the last 2 months, I have gained a lot of confidence, and I'm wonderful on or off lead. Mom and I have bonded very strongly. I ALWAYS make sure I know where my Mommy is. I'm also making great strides with meeting new people, especially men and children. I now come to Mom very well on lead. But I still have pretty severe separation anxiety when my Mom goes away, but I really like my crate and feel safe there. I play very well with all other dogs, and really looking forward to starting obedience school. Mom is so taken with me, she thinks I'm practically perfect.
