Leo

Hi!  My name is Leo.  I originally came from Uncle Bill's Pet Store, so I'm very  likely a "puppy mill" dog.  My first owner turned me into GRRACE, saying he had no time for me.  I spent most of my first two years in my crate.  I was what you humans call "unsocialized" and wouldn't go near anyone in my foster family for the first week I was there. I wouldn't let them pet me either, because I was too scared of everything being knew and of them.  Apparently, I had some serious "trust issues."

Eventually they won me over.  Not a big surprise either, with six-year-old twin "two-leggers," and a Golden brother and sister, beside Mom and Dad.  I just love playing with my kids, Rachel and Riley, and Alex and Harley, my Golden siblings.  I'm completely lovable, sweet and affectionate now.  I'm happy and excited about everything.  I've learned how to sit and shake "paws," but my best thing is curling up in my favorite chair.  Last week I took my first trip to a nursing home as a therapy dog.  Talk about lots of attention and petting!  From a puppy mill to Jill and Pat Wildemann's house  --- it doesn't get any better than this.
