We shared a year with
a Golden named Bear.
He was a big ole' dog with reddish hair.
At ninety pounds he
could have been nasty and mean
But instead he was the sweetest dog we have ever seen.
He liked his treats
and he liked taking walks.
He was a great listener 'cause we had some long talks.
His cuddles were
great but his hugs were the best.
If you have ever loved a Golden you know the rest.
Even though he had
paws, big ears and a tail
His devotion and love for our family never did fail.
Even as we lost our
best friend
He knew we loved him up to the very end.
Bear is the best dog
we have ever had.
And when he passed our hearts were sad.
But we all know that
we will see him again some day.
And he will be free from the cancer that took him away.
So if you see us with
a tear or even a smile on our face
We are thinking of Bear who is in a much greater place.
