Mookie was born April of 1997 and came to us as a senior dog July of 2005. The grand age of 8yrs. You would have thought he had been ours forever. He was ALWAYS smiling and bouncing around enjoying everything and everybody. When visitors came he was sure they were only there to see him. Everyone Mookie met thought he was something special. We had to put Mookie to sleep last week after a very rapid decline in his health. He had liver failure. Our hearts are broken but we will forever remember Mookie. You brought happiness and sunshine to our lives and wanted nothing in return. You will be not missed so much as you will be mourned for. I loved you. Thank you for taking care of us. To call him a dog hardly
seems to do him justice,
though inasmuch as he had four legs, a tail and barked,
I admit he was, to all outward appearances.
But to those of us who knew him well,
he was a perfect gentleman.
