Hope

This is “Hope” – she is a small Golden Retriever (possibly a mix) and is available for adoption at Indianapolis Animal Care & Control on Harding Street. Her age is unknown; the shelter has her listed as 10 years but to see her, she doesn’t look to be more than 5. She recently had a litter of puppies all of which died. If you can help Hope have hope for a wonderful new life; please stop by the shelter and meet her. She is in Kennel K4-58 and is dog # A052072. Be sure to have these numbers with you!!!

Bart

Bart is a big (approximately 115 pounds) 2 year old golden boy whose owner passed away so he is looking for a loving forever home. He is neutered, update on all vaccinations and has been on monthly flea/heartworm prevention. He is an Alpha dog who would do best in a home with no other dogs or a more submissive friend – he’s not compatible with cats. He walks great on a leash and enjoys riding in the car. He is house trained, crate trained and knows a few basic commands. He is vocal and gets a little anxious in new situations. Bart would benefit from a family who can give him lots of support and love. If you are interested in meeting Bart, please contact Cherlyn at Cherlyn.crees@centerstone.org

Boomer

Hi, I’m Boomer! I’m a 2 ½ year old big boy, about 94 pounds, but I’m not overweight. Just a big, lovable boy! I’m neutered, have had all my shots and am on heartworm preventative. I like playing with other dogs and two leggers, but I don’t know about felines...or whether we’d be pals or not. If you’re looking for a happy, healthy boy who’s ready to play,
please contact Diana (information to right).

Lindsay

This is Lindsay. She is a beautiful 6 year old Golden Retriever who has been with her family since the first day she was born to her just-rescued mother. Lindsay has been well cared for and loved all her life, but her family is now forced to find her a new home because of their toddler's worsening asthma attacks. They've tried everything in order to keep Lindsay (including various medications for their son, which are now affecting his development), but they've come to the decision that they simply must find Lindsay a new home for their son's health.

Lindsay has always lived inside, and she's well-trained and great with kids, dogs and cats. She's also a big girl, with lots of energy. BTW - that's not some secret code meaning she's hyper and out-of-control - she really does just have lots of energy! :-) For that reason, though, she'll need an active family and a fenced yard where she can get plenty of exercise. Luckily that's not hard to do because she loves to play fetch!

If you're interested in learning more about Lindsay, please contact Kera at kjs5948@cs.com

Sam

Sam is a beautiful boy who just turned one year old!   He is neutered and up to date on his shots.  Sam was born with a liver disease but with daily medication and one of the Science Diet formulas of dog food, he can live a normal life. He is very sweet and lovable!  Although well-behaved, Sam would enjoy and benefit from a training class to learn some basic commands.   If you are interested in more information regarding this wonderful dog who has a zest for life, please contact KMiller@howemilitary.com
