Why we do Rescue

Every year millions of dogs and cats are euthanized. They are euthanized because of their vast numbers. They are euthanized because of irresponsible owners. They are euthanized because shelters are overwhelmed. In many cases these are the lucky animals. There are situations worse than death.
Many of these animals are Golden Retrievers. Goldens are needlessly put down simply because the resources are not available to match a great Golden with a great family. The Goldens are out there, the homes are out there and now we’re out there trying to match the two together.
Our efforts are not going to solve the problems of pet overpopulation. We know that we can’t save every deserving Golden that needs a good home. But we do know that we can make a difference, a great difference, to those Golden Retrievers with which we come into contact that need help.
Our overall impact may be small. We may not be able to change the world. But maybe we will be able to change the lives of those Goldens that need our help locally, and that does make a big difference, at least to them.
Care to help us try to change the world? We could use a little help.
